Slurries are notoriously difficult application for valves because they are a mixture of solids and liquids that cause erosion. Diaphragm valves are the ideal solution for Slurry applications. The valves can be lined with abrasion resistant materials and the diaphragm can be selected so to withstand abrasive tendencies of the media. All other parts of the valve are fully isolated from the media. Slurry valves are easy to maintain in line making them ideal for these applications. Diaphragms are also able to close leak-tight over solids contained within the media.
