Abrasive fluids typically consist of suspended solids that cause erosion in typical valves. Diaphragm valves are the ideal solution for Abrasive applications. The valves can be lined with abrasion resistant materials and the diaphragm can be selected so to withstand abrasive tendencies of the media. All other parts of the valve are fully isolated from the media. Diaphragm valves are easy to maintain in line making them ideal for these applications. Diaphragms are also able to close leak-tight over solids contained within the media.
